Goodbye Sweet Summer
To make up for the lack of blog entries over the last few months, I have posted a few pictures of how I spent my summer. I guess I've gotten to the point where I don't need my blog like I used to. I have been quite the busy little bee, making appearances here, there and everywhere.
Summer school cramped my style for the first two months but I'm very glad I took some extra courses to make this next year a lot easier. The fun stuff began several weeks ago when I took part in a photo shoot for breast cancer and filmed a local Mazda commercial. Both days saw me getting pampered and enjoying the beautiful weather.
I managed to sneak in Rihanna's concert and many day trip excursions. The highlight was spending a weekend with my very good friend Kyle who made a visit from Vancouver. These trips included several very successful photo shoots. I also had many lazy days hanging out with friends by the pool, going on lunch dates and simply days spent shopping.
It wasn't all fun and games all the time; I did hold down two steady jobs to help pay for my free & easy lifestyle. But I guess when one of those jobs required me to spend all day on a golf course in 30 degree weather, you can't feel too sorry for me...

Too Cool for School
GAP:Hannah
UrbanLife:Spring
mine:H&M

Ahh back to school; sadly I've always loved this time of year. Fresh start to school with lots of fresh faces. More importantly I love it for all the back to school shopping; I can't wait to get back into the classroom to showcase all my new outfits.
Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the crisp air, chunky sweaters, boots and the changing colors of the leaves. I'm really looking forward to this fall; I have a very big birthday coming up, a new job that I love and a light semester, thanks to my spring courses. Maybe my life will slow down a few paces and I can find someone to cuddle up with during those chilly winter nights that lie ahead...
but on second thought, maybe not just yet ;)

I have a new obsession with all things dramatic; from feather earrings, to anything Abu Dhabi inspired. With my recent splurge shopping adventures, I'm glad I have a second job that pays off the Visa mighty quick.
My Minnie & Mickey Mouse tank top is my new favorite for the summer. I love pairing it with my cotton dhoti pants; which I truly believe are better than sweatpants.

I was invited to stop by The Bay this week to check out and promote the current changes that are taking place nation wide. I don't know about you, but I have been a long time supporter of The Bay; mostly going in with my Mom to help fill her wardrobe. Until now there has never been much for the "younger" generation, except for their great jewellery and hair accessories. The new changes that are taking place definitely target this problem by bringing in many new lines.
Some of my favorites are Dex, DKNY, Mexx, Kersh, and a brand new line exclusive to The Bay called moon. It's actually the higher end line of my beloved Superstore brand Joe Fresh. The clothing is simple and clean cut. Sometimes it may not look so great on the hanger but it will surprise you once you try it on.
I'm really excited about this fresh new section and I know that the more popular it becomes the more we will see even better brands. The new change over is set to be complete in November with an in store fashion show to showcase the modern upscale style; and you know I will be front row.

I Die...
"The much-talked-about stylist Rachael Zoe, has developed a cult following for her look, her reality show, and her dramatic turn of phrase. But what would happen if she really did die for fashion? America’s top designers go in for the kill"
--- Harper's Bazaar
"I would die for Rachel's vintage archive." -Francisco Costa
"Rachel's energy is electrifying? …And often shocking!" -Marc Jacobs
"I only want to kill Rachel when I don't land one of her fabulous clients for the Oscars!" -Vera Wang
"Death by Stiletto? I can't imagine a better way to go." -Brian Atwood
"The perfect accessory can make the difference between looking blah and totally to die for." -Michael Kors

MINKPINK
Spring/Summer 2010
Fall/Winter 2010
Any one obsessed with fashion can tell you, there is nothing better than when you discover a new brand. I recently got to experience this excitement when I stumbled upon the brand MINK PINK.
The Australian brand was created back in 2005 offering stylish pieces inspired by street style, vintage finds and current designer trends. Needless to say, MINKPINK has their bases covered; the old, the new and the wearable. I'm absolutely obsessed with how indie and edgy their collections are; bohemian chic has never looked so good.
MINK PINK is currently excelling into stores worldwide. They have over 400 boutiques in Australia and New Zealand. Closer to home they can be found in stores such as Urban Outfitters and Aritzia.
